Is christian music becoming to commercialized ? In the 70’s through the 90’s christian music focused on God, Jesus, Worship. but in the 2000’s I feel it’s more about popularity. about who can come out with the best song. who can feel a arena. A very high percentage of today’s christian artist in my opinion are focused on the above mentioned comments. I really lost interest in contemporary christian music in the 2000’s because it all sounded the same and I felt a lot of the newer groups were and still are losing the focus of why and who they are singing about. They are more worried about filling out auditoriums and venues and making money then saving lives. Am I against christian music ? no not at all. I would just like to see the singers and groups get back to the basics and instead of using their music to entertain, use it for ministering to the lost, broken , and to revive the body of Christ once again.
I think Christian music concerts should be more affordable. I know it cost money to travel, food , gas, hotels, crew, etc. But some people on fixed incomes can not afford to attend when they may have been ministered to or come tot he Lord at a concert
